Psychotherapy is a regulated profession with confidentiality being a fundamental ethical requirement. Ann Marie is and has been a member of the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy and Counselling (UKCP) for over 20 years. The UKCP is accredited by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care. Ann Marie is also a member of the European Association for Integrative Psychotherapy.

www.psychotherapy.org.uk.Ann Marie prefers to work face to face in her consulting room, however some flexibility is offered, where appropriate, to working in other locations and over the internet or telephone. This is always with the client’s agreement. In accordance with data protection regulation Ann Marie provides detailed information about how your privacy is maintained when she meets with you for a free informal discussion, before commencing therapeutic work.
Word-of-mouth referrals are particularly valued, however on rare occasions it might be necessary for Ann Marie to re-direct a prospective client if a potential conflict of interests between clients threatens to compromise therapy.
